I have been obsessed with artist, Ana Kras' work, ever since I first came across one of her beautifully made and handcrafted Bonbon lamps.
You'll start to realize I have a thing for artists who make any sort of light fixtures. They drive me sculptural-ly wild. I'm like a bug, buzzzing right towards the work in awe. Which is usually followed with daydreams of where to put them in my apartment or other people's houses... can't I just have a room of them? Please? One day.
Everything in her lovely little New York apartment is so simple and clean with a touch of playfulness. There is something very whimsical and mysterious about Mrs. Kras....
I found this editorial in the New York Times on photographer Brian W. Ferry's Tumblr. His skill and eye for photography stopped me dead in my tracks. I couldn't help but share his photos with you. Plus, I was getting tired of seeing my own janky photographs up on this thing. It's time to showcase some real talent, don't you think?
What artists have been inspiring you lately?
