It came to my attention that I had a long overdue post to write, part two of this entry. When I started this blog, right around when my brothers visit, my life was spinning a little bit out of control. I knew I wanted to write the follow-up posts but had missed my deadline and tried to gloss over it. I’m glad one of my loyal readers brought it up to me. If I promise more parts to something, I should deliver.
It was a lot of fun going through the photos from my brothers visit this summer. It brought back all the fun memories. The next day after Dominic arrived, my brother Damon appeared via a Megabus. Megabus is an inexpensive way to travel between Pittsburgh, Philly and New York.
Dom and I goofed around, did some geocaching, and checked out the sights while we waited for Damon. The bus drops off at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. In the middle of the building is a gorgeous waterfall walkway and art installation that winds down under street level then opens up into a beautiful view of the rivers. Gotta love the Pittsburgh bridges.
Once everyone was reunited we started to check off all of the Pittsburgh's must-sees. I’m sure I’ve said this before but one of the things that makes Pittsburgh unique is its 90 different neighborhoods.
Damon’s first night in we went to a Pittsburgh Biennial show and then ended up in Shadyside at a Mexican restaurant, Mad Mex.
This is when Damon tried to teach me about some of the different setting on my camera. I’m not sure I learned much but now I know what white balance is.
