I can't help but love these two colors together. There is something about that reddish burnt orange that reminds me of a Tuscan sunset or at least, what I imagine one would be like. A nautical navy blue sweater can go with just about anything. I don't necessarily wear a lot of color but when I do this combination is an easy go-to for me.
I'm a strong believer of 'working with what you have.' A lot of the things I own have been hand-me-downs and it wouldn't feel right to rush to the department store and buy a bunch of new and expensive things. I've never shopped consciously before either, and by that I mean that I’ve never noticed the labels of my clothing.
Building a wardrobe should take time and patience. I'm still trying to stick to owning fewer items of high quality. I like clothes that can be worn for all sorts of occasions; pieces that are timeless and easily dressed up or down. I will say that this blog inspires me to put a lot more thought into getting dressed in the morning. It has been a fun creative exercise.
Since we are going to embark on this fashion journey together. I have to ask that you give me a little wiggle room for error. As I slowly build my closet with this blog, the clothes I'll be wearing, at least in the beginning…. I've had for years and aren't easy to link back to. Instead, I've put together a slide show at the bottom of the post of similar styles.
