Though this is the second fall in which I haven't gotten back to school, I still start eyeing fresh supplies and crisp button downs every October. This is the fourth fall I've spent in New York City, yet I'm still completely enamored with the changing leaves in Central Park and the rushing of the wind down the avenues.
Though I'm happy to be free from classes and homework (at least for now), I miss the excuse to update my wardrobe, buy a new journal, and dig into War and Peace. (Really, I love Tolstoy).
Who are we kidding? I'm going to do all those things anyways.
For school-girl inspiration, I often turn to Rebecca of The Clothes Horse. She's always pairing wonderfully quirky details with classic pieces. Nora Ephron movies also always put me in the fall mood. When Harry Met Sally, anyone?
I've put together an outfit using a few recent #ShopLu items. I may have also thrown in a book recommendation. I'm sorry. I can't help it! Don't forget to join in on the #ShopLu fun every Monday-Thursday from 9-11pm PST.
