Hi Everyone,

I apologize for not having written in a while. Life has been…. complicated. As always, I’ve learned a few things about myself and my work this year. It was a huge accomplishment to wonder off on my own in pursuit of my dreams and this work has made me happy. On the other hand, the “hustle” is not without its challenges.

For starters, I’ve been struggling with the isolation of working from home. I’m naturally a social person. I thrive on the energy of others and often find my personal inspiration through conversation. As you can imagine, working alone often means I shower too little, don’t wear pants often enough, and get a little lonely.

Writing is a very personal endeavor for me and this year, I learned it’s really fucking hard to write about myself for a living or to do so consistently. Writing and I have the worst and best romance. Sometimes, we’re swept up together in an all encompassing love affair. Other times, like a bad relationship, the magic of writing comes in waves showering me with attention or leaving me thirsty and desolate on an empty beach. Writer’s block often feels like that asshole who never texts you back after a long weekend. “Hello, is anyone there? I’m here waiting for you.”

So, I’m crawling out of the slums of major writer’s block, and I’m going to try doing what I actually do best, or at least a lot of: talk.
