One of the wonderful things about growing up in my rinky dink home town of Northern California is the strong and beautiful sense of community. It is a unique and eclectic region, one I’m proud to be from. It is also where I met Thira Gilbert. Thira is photographer, digital connoisseur, author of Thirmisu and co-creater of The Daily Dorothy.
Thira and I went to high school together and met-up again at UCLA. I’ve always appreciated her eye and amazing sense of style. In addition to her creative brilliance she is a wonderfully kind friend, a great listener and wanderer like myself.
To put it politely, I’m not the most skilled photographer but when Thira asked to go on a blogging adventure I couldn't say no!
The stars aligned on Thira's last visit to Nevada City when Erin Thiem, offered to let us shoot one of her wild glamping tents from the Inn Town Campground. The campground scheduled for its debut the Summer of 2016. It is going to be an amazing asset to the area. It will have luxury camping options as well as accessible lots where people can bring their own gear should they choose too.
I’m excited for this project because it opens a door of opportunity to promote more tourism to the area. There are awesome wineries, crazy hiking trails, tasty restaurants and fun small town shopping in Nevada City and Grass Valley. Now, the Inn Town Campground is one more wonderful adventure we can add to the list!
